About Lincolnwood

The Village of Lincolnwood, nestled between Skokie, Rogers Park, and Peterson Park, is an ideally located community. Home to approximately 14,000 people, our tranquil streets, well maintained homes, numerous parks and walking trails, and wonderful library provide a respite from big city congestion. We are close to the Edens Expressway and Lake Shore Drive. Traveling north to Highland Park or Northbrook and south to Lakeview or the Gold Coast is easy, making us central to Chicagoland’s Jewish community.

All aspects of Jewish life are enhanced by Lincolnwood’s proximity to Jewish days schools and Yeshivot, kosher grocery stores, bakeries, and eateries.  We are also close to Hebrew Theological College and walking distance to Rogers Park and Skokie.

From Lincolnwood’s Rocket Slice Pizza and Dairy Star to Skokie’s Shallots, Ken’s Diner, Ateres Ayala simcha hall, and more, we are close to numerous options for everyday dining as well as simcha celebration. A complete list of food establishments can be found here.

Equally important, Lincolnwood offers a wide array of housing options, all within walking distance of our shul. We are located within the Lincolnwood-Peterson Park Eruv. A map of the eruv location can be found here. There are rental apartments, condominiums, and private homes at every price point and within the Eruv.

Other amenities offered by Lincolnwood include access to easy public transportation, a municipal pool, free concerts, Village programs and classes, and accessibility to Village government.
